Council discusses gain from Enterprise trade-in

Options for $27,000 include SRO vehicle purchase, general fund deposit

During the July 21 North Catasauqua Borough Council meeting, police Chief Christopher Wolfer said the amount received from a trade-in for a vehicle with Enterprise was more than anticipated. Council is discussing where to put the near-$27,000 gain — applying that to an existing payment, purchasing a vehicle for the school resource officer or putting it in the general fund. Council is leaning toward splitting the money between an SRO vehicle and the general fund. Nothing has been finalized.

“We’re going to go with whoever is the best service and pricing,” Jandrisovits said after the meeting.

Council will next meet 7 p.m. Aug. 18 at the municipal building, 1066 Fourth St.
