Students graduate

Lehigh Carbon Community College held its 58th annual commencement ceremony May 21 at PPL Center, Allentown. Commencement recognized the more than 900 students who have earned associate degrees, certificates or diplomas from December 2024, May 2025 and anticipated for August 2025. Students who graduated cum laude earned a grade-point average of 3.5-3.75, students who graduated magna cum laude earned a GPA of 3.75-3.95, and students who graduated summa cum laude earned a GPA of 3.95-4.0.

York College of Pennsylvania

Steiner named to dean’s list

More than 1,200 York College students, among them Madeline Steiner, of Coplay, were recognized for their academic achievement by earning a place on the dean’s list for the spring 2025 semester. Steiner is majoring in nursing. To be eligible for this honor, a student must be registered for at least 12 academic credit hours and earn a semester GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Established in 1787, York College of Pennsylvania is a private, four-year college located in the city of York, a hub of arts and industry between Baltimore and Philadelphia. Housed on 190 picturesque acres, the college is known for its focus on experiential learning and community engagement, serving more than 3,500 undergraduate and graduate students in more than 70 baccalaureate majors, along with 30-plus professional graduate degree and certificate programs.

Wilson College

Cordon, Davidson named to dean’s list

Wilson College is pleased to announce Elizabeth Cordon, of Bath, and Colin Davidson, of Northampton, were named to the dean’s list for the spring 2025 semester. Wilson College’s dean’s list contains the names of those students whose GPA for the work of the semester has been 3.5 or higher and who have completed at least 12 semester hours for the semester, at least nine of which received a letter grade.

Founded in 1869, Wilson College is a private coeducational liberal arts college offering undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs. Bachelor’s degree programs include 34 majors and 40 minors in high-demand and innovative fields including education, nursing, equine studies, veterinary nursing and sport management. Graduate degrees include master’s-level programs in education, fine arts, the humanities, nursing and organizational leadership and a hybrid, accelerated doctoral program in occupational therapy. With classes available in person and online, the college achieved the highest total enrollment in its history for fall 2024, as it makes higher education accessible and affordable for today’s students.

Missouri State University

Frace graduates

Missouri State University awarded 2,824 degrees to students in the spring semester of 2025 during commencement ceremonies May 9 at Great Southern Bank Arena. Among them was Virginia Frace, of Bath, who graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in interior design. Students who graduated with honors completed at least 30 credit hours with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5.

Missouri State University is a public, comprehensive university system with a mission in public affairs. Its purpose is to develop fully educated individuals with a focus on ethical leadership, cultural competence and community engagement.

Delaware Valley University

Dean’s list is announced

The following students were honored for academic achievement by being named to Delaware Valley University’s dean’s list for the spring 2025 semester.

Delaware Valley University is a private, comprehensive, nonprofit university educating students with a curriculum that emphasizes and requires experiential learning. Located in Doylestown, the university offers 28 undergraduate majors in business, arts and sciences and agricultural and environmental sciences; 12 master’s degrees; and a doctorate in education.

Founded in 1896, DelVal has been cited by the National Society for Experiential Education as having the country’s top experiential learning program, by Princeton Review as one of the best colleges in the Northeast and by College Factual as having one of the top 20 animal science programs in the country.

Wilkes University

Students named to dean’s list

Wilkes University Provost David M. Ward announced the dean’s list for the spring 2025 semester. To be named to this honor, students must obtain a minimum 3.5 GPA and carry at least 12 credits.
