Allen Township will host an electronics recycling event 9 a.m.-noon Aug. 16. Residents are invited to bring their old electronics to the township municipal and fire station complex, 50 Snow Hill Road.

This event is exclusively for Allen Township residents. Be prepared to show proof of residency.

Zion’s Stone United Church of Christ, 51 Church Road, Kreidersville, is having a chicken barbecue dinner, with pickup 1-4 p.m., Aug. 16.

Dinner includes half a chicken, baked potato, applesauce and dinner roll. There is a cost.

Lappawinzo Fish and Game Association, 25 Lappawinzo Road, Allen Township, is planning a casino trip for Aug. 24. The group departs 9 a.m. and will return 9 p.m.

Participants will receive a $10 rebate at Caesars Atlantic City or can enjoy a day at the shore.

Governor Wolf Historical Society, 6600 Jacksonville Road, East Allen Township, hosts crafters 10 a.m.-noon the first and third Thursday of each month in the meeting room of the Monocacy School.

No registration is needed.

Everyone is welcome to attend and work on whatever craft you desire. Bring your project, supplies, a drink and perhaps a snack, and prepare for good conversation and a productive two hours.

A $5 donation is requested to defray facility costs.
