Schnecksville Community Fair announces exhibit, contest, livestock winners

The 40th annual Schnecksville Community Fair took place on June 17-21 in Schnecksville.

Each year, the dedication of more than 100 volunteers makes this event possible.

Over 1,200 competitive items, including animals, were entered.

The theme of the fair was, “40th Anniversary,” celebrating 40 years of agriculture, entertainment, competitive entries, animals, food, and fun.

A special “Community Day” featured discounted ticket prices for those contributing a non-perishable food item that was donated to the Parkland Food Pantry.

Thousands of fairgoers from the area and beyond attended the fair’s five-day run.

Daily entertainment included Brad Matchett, comedy hypnotist, Agricadabra, Lehigh Valley Dream Weavers Dog Agility Club and Masters of the Chainsaw Competition.

Fair patrons were thrilled to see an exciting fireworks show on Friday night.

The Keystone State Quarter Midget Racing Club held races on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

The 4-H Livestock Experience, Wanna Be a Farmer, and the Antique Farm Equipment Display were open each day.

In the Exhibit Hall, blue, red and white ribbons adorned the winner’s entries in the fifteen non-animal departments.
