Warren “Shorty” R. Rothenberger, 92, of Whitehall, died July 19, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. He was the husband of the late Ann M. (Querio) Rothenberger.
Born in Zionsville, he was the son of the late Warren J. and Beatrice M. (Kuhns) Rothenberger.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War with a rank of corporal.
He was employed as an electrician at Mack Trucks Inc., Allentown, for 33 years before retiring from the 5-C Plant in 1987. He also served as fire chief for the volunteer fire brigade of Plant 4.
He was a lifetime member of Breinigsville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8282 and was a member of Howard L. Peter American Legion Post 576, Allentown. He was a member of UAW Local 677.
He was a member of St. James United Church of Christ, Allentown.
He is survived by a daughter, Rose Marie Grimshaw of Allentown; two grandsons, Ian M. Grimshaw with Sara of Charleston, S.C., and Justin M. Grimshaw with Julia of Center Valley; and two great-grandchildren, Justin Jr. and Evelyn.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Ann; and four siblings, Clarence J., Raymond R., Marie E. Walbert and Gloria M. Bernecker.
