Louis Frank Guerino Sr.
Louis Frank Guerino Sr., 91, of Whitehall and formerly of Allentown, died July 21, 2025. He was the husband of Nancy A. (Schraden) Guerino for 70 years.
Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Francesco and Josephine (Magliola) Guerino.
He graduated from Allentown High School.
He served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a veteran of the Korean War.
He was employed by the city of Allentown for more than 30 years and retired Feb. 2, 1990. He worked under seven different mayors, dedicating all of his time to keeping the streets of Allentown in good condition. He was appointed superintendent of streets for the department of public works for 16 continuous years from 1974 until his retirement.
He was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Whitehall, and was formerly a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church of Allentown.
He was a lifetime member of the Fearless Fire Company.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Louis F. Jr. and wife Kim of North Carolina, Michael A. and wife Neysa of Connecticut, Donna M. Ruch and husband Greg of Macungie and Pastor Timothy J. and wife Melody of West Virginia; nine grandchildren, Carly, Gabriel, Abbey, Joshua, Christopher, Noelle, Natalie, Samantha and Sophia; and six great-grandchildren, Ann, Timmy, Gabriel, Esther, Phoenix and Ryan, with two on the way.
He was predeceased by a brother, Anthony M.
