Pennsylvania State Police Troop M – Bethlehem has announced the results of a Troop-wide traffic enforcement detail conducted July 23 throughout the Troop M (Lehigh, Northampton and Bucks counties) coverage area. Results of the Troop wide traffic enforcement detail:

• 297 Traffic Citations

• 106 Warnings

• 2 Driving Under the Influence (DUI) Arrest

• 1 Drug Possession Arrest

• 1 Outstanding Warrant

On Wednesday, July 23 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., both troopers and Officers from the Allentown Police Department conducted an enforcement detail in the area of American Parkway and North Bradford Street, Allentown, which resulted in the following combined results:

• 17 Citations • 6 Warnings

Motorists are also reminded of the mandates of Title 75 Section 3733, Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Police Officer, which stipulates that any driver of a motor vehicle who willfully fails or refuses to bring their vehicle to a stop, or who otherwise flees or attempts to elude a pursuing police officer, commits an offense, graded up to a Felony of the 3rd Degree, which carries a maximum sentence of seven years in prison, a $15,000 fine, and restitution for damages and/or injuries sustained as a result of the pursuit.
