Volunteer to assist residents in getting to in-house clinic appointments at Gracedale Nursing Home, Nazareth, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wed, Thur, Fri. This may involve pushing residents in wheelchairs, Broda chairs, or simply walking alongside a resident and engaging in conversation while making sure they arrive to the clinic area safely. The Roasting Ears of Corn Festival is Celebrating 45 years! Museum of Indian Culture in Allentown is excited to host Pennsylvania’s oldest Native American festival on August 16-17. Many hands are needed for this important fundraiser, beginning with various set-up chores starting on August 2, and culminating with various festival positions on August 16 & 17. Drivers are needed to take elderly/and or disabled people to doctor appointments and grocery shopping. Members receiving services can enter and exit a vehicle independently. A Primary Care Community (PCC) is a group of about five volunteer families who come alongside one specific family to help meet physical, financial, spiritual, and emotional needs. Wilson Area LINCS Family Center is excited to host a Touch a Truck and Community Resource Fair featuring a backpack & school supplies give away from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on August 10, at Wilson Area High School, Easton.
