SUMMER SCIENCE: YWCA Bethlehem’s Summer Science Series provides educational and recreational activities for young folks across the City of Bethlehem. These rotating science fair sessions allow students to use their creative thinking by completing the activities while engaging their minds with scientific concepts taught during the school year.
The Summer Science Series occurs every Saturday through Aug. 9 at the Boys and Girls Club of Bethlehem, 1430 Fritz Drive, Bethlehem.
Each session centers around a unique STEM theme, with 4-6 interactive, hands-on science activities designed to spark curiosity and reinforce concepts learned during the school year. Each event will serve approximately 30 students, and lunch/snacks will be provided while supplies last. This event is free and open to kids of all ages. Registration is required and is now open on ywcabethlehem.org/summerscienceseries.
PHEAA WEBINAR: The Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency is hosting a webinar to guide college students and their families in filing the PA State Grant Form (SGF).
To determine eligibility for a PA State Grant, applicants must complete the 2025-26 FAFSA, which can be accessed online at pheaa.org/FAFSA or studentaid.gov. First-time applicants must complete the SGF. Most renewal students shouldn’t have to complete the SGF, but some may. PHEAA will let you know if you are required to complete the SGF or an additional form.
The presentation will be made Wednesday, Aug. 6, from 6 to 7 p.m. PHEAA’s Higher Education Access Partners will present an overview of the 2025-26 PA State Grant process and provide step-by-step guidance to participants as they complete and file the PA State Grant Form. Register to attend at the PHEAA website.
