Lansford woman killed in 3-vehicle lynn Twp crash

A 36-year-old Lansford woman was killed after the vehicle she was operating was involved a three-vehicle collision around 12:22 a.m., July 14 in the area of Route 309 and Mountain Road/Mosserville Road, Lynn Township.

According to Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio, Kassandra F. Milkewicz was pronounced dead at 1:04 a.m. the same day at the scene.

An autopsy was performed July 15 at the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office and Forensics Center and the cause of Milkewicz’s death is multiple blunt force trauma due to a motor vehicle collision, Buglio said.

He said he ruled her death an accident.

In addition to the coroner’s office, State Police Troop M, Fogelsville and the Lehigh County District Attorney’s office are conducting an investigation into the crash.

According to state police, Troopers from PSP Fogelsville Station were dispatched to the scene for the report of a motor vehicle crash.

Police say upon investigation, it was determined a 2005 Honda Civic, operated by a 20-year-old male from Bethlehem was driving east on Mosserville Road, while a 2020 Hyundai Tucson, operated by Milkewicz was driving north on Route 309 and a 2020 Freightliner SD 122, operated by a 53-year-old male from New Ringgold was traveling south on Route 309, when the collision occurred, killing Milkewicz.

During this crash investigation, traffic was detoured on Route 309 southbound at Route 895 and northbound at Route 143.

Detours remained in effect until approximately 6:56 a.m.

Troop M Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Specialist, Troop M Forensic Services Unit, PennDOT, Cetronia Ambulance Corp and New Tripoli Fire Company assisted at the scene.

This case remains under investigation by the PSP Fogelsville Patrol Unit, police say.
