Lehigh Township Police Department is hosting National Night Out 6-8 p.m. Aug. 5 at Indian Trail Park, 3821 Lehigh Drive. This is an annual community-building event that promotes police and community partnerships and camaraderie.

Lehigh Township Historical Society will be holding a barbecue-to-go meal, set for noon-3 p.m. Aug. 10. Pickup is at LTHS Historical Centre, 3811 Lehigh Drive, Northampton.

Choose from either half a roasted chicken or pulled pork with barbecue sauce; baked potato; roll with butter; a choice of two sides, including applesauce, baked beans or creamed cabbage; and a piece of homemade cake.
