Joanne J. Yanek, 83, of North Catasauqua, died July 12, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. She was the wife of the late John Yanek for 45 years.

She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Kovacs) Hochella.

She was employed as an eye glass consultant with Dr. Harakal in North Catasauqua for many years. In addition, she worked as a secretary for Bethlehem Steel and Catasauqua Area School District.

She was a member of St. John Fisher Catholic Church in North Catasauqua.

She is survived by two sons, John Joseph and wife Jacqueline and Joseph and wife Ann Marie; three grandchildren, Ashley and husband Jeff, Matthew and wife Addie and Jada; two great-grandchildren, Jaxon and Hadley, with an expected two additional great grandchildren on the way; and a brother-in-law, Dennis and wife Sandra.

Funeral services will be private.
