Whitehall Active Community Center, 2301 Pine St., will be holding bingo July 27. Cash bingo starts 1 p.m., and doors open noon.

Bingo will continue with tricky tray, 50/25/25 raffle, piggy number, lightning game and more. Remember the community center has now increased the cash prize payouts.

There will be refreshments available for purchase.

Bring a donation of a nonperishable food item, pet food or paper product such as facial tissues, paper towels or toilet paper for Whitehall Food Pantry and receive a strip of specials to be played on the first four specials.

The men’s breakfast group of St. John’s United Church of Christ is next scheduled to meet 8:30 a.m. Aug. 2 at Hamilton Family Restaurant, 2027 Hamilton St., Allentown.

St. Elizabeth of Hungary Regional Catholic Church, 618 Fullerton Ave., is starting to plan its annual basket social. Mark your calendar for the 16th annual basket social during Columbus Day weekend, Oct. 10-12.

Bargains are everywhere, so start collecting your items now to make your baskets. Feel free to drop off any nonperishable items at the parish office for our committee to make up a basket for you. Be sure to have your name on your donation.
