No. Parkland CM drops two games
The North Parkland Senior Connie Mack team competed in two games last week with another one getting rained out. The Buffaloes dropped both contests, one by mercy rule and the other one by just one run.
After a midweek game was postponed due to weather, North Parkland took to the field and was defeated by second-place Nazareth 11-1 in five innings at home last Friday. Three days later, the Buffaloes were downed 4-3, hosting Catasauqua on Monday.
In the game with the Blue Eagles, Nazareth jumped out to an early, sizable lead, scoring three runs in the top of the first and third innings and then added five more in the fourth to take a commanding 11-0 advantage. North Parkland scored its lone run of the game in the bottom of the fourth inning on a double by Jared Santilli that brought home Tyler Dietrich.
The Buffaloes finished with five hits, one a piece from Dietrich, Santilli, Jordan Kuhns, Royce Morabito and Tristin Cancelliere.
Against the Roughies, Catasauqua did what Nazareth did and scored multiple runs early on to take a lead and hold on to the end. After two scoreless innings to begin the game, the Roughies scored two runs in back-to-back innings in the top of the third and fourth. North Parkland made a comeback attempt, rallying for three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning, but could not muster up any more runs the rest of the way.
Noah Ream had the only two hits of the game for the Buffaloes. Brandon Gonzzlez recorded an RBI and each of Max Vargas, Callen Wildon and Mason Vargas scored a run.
North Parkland is now 4-7-1 overall and sits 13th overall out of 21 teams.
