Zephyr boys hoops fall in Bash at the Beach

Whitehall’s time at the Bash at the Beach tournament on their home campus didn’t last long over the weekend.

The Zephs lost a close one to Allen in their opener 44-41, as Tyler Martin scored 12 points for the Canaries in the win.

In the elimination bracket, Whitehall fell to Berks Catholic 59-43. Johnnie Giesa led the way with 21 points to pace Berks to end Whitehall’s ride.

Parkland came away as Big School champs for the second year in a row, knocking off Wilson West Lawn 63-52 to take home the crown.

Salisbury won the Small School Division title with a 59-58 win over Southern Lehigh.

Whitehall got back into summer league action this week with a bout against a winless Freedom team on Tuesday followed by a showdown against Bangor on Thursday.
