Mark your calendars: this year’s National Night Out will be the biggest yet. The event will be held 5-8 p.m. Aug. 5 at Salisbury Middle School. This free event will have something for everyone. LVHN’s MedEvac will land 5 p.m. so make sure to have your camera open on your phone. There will be music, food, a basket raffle and a car show.
Miller-Keystone Blood Center is holding a Bloodstravaganza through Aug. 31. All students who donate blood will receive a limited edition Bloodstravaganza button when they register using the Salisbury High School code: 0490. SteelStacks continues to offer a free family movie series this summer. They are showing “Moana 2” 6:30 p.m. July 16 and on July 23 they will show “The Lego Movie.” There is always something happening down at the SteelStacks from family movies to the summer concert series. Check out their schedule.
The Salisbury Township School District is hiring part-time instructional assistants offering morning and afternoon shifts for flexibility. Interested applicants should apply online at the district website salisburysd.org.
The township recycling drop off sites are open. The Franko Farm site will be open July 17 and 19 and the Devonshire site will be open July 21, 24 and 26. Drop off center hours will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.
