Craft and vendor show July 19

The Upper Lehigh Lions Club will stage a craft and vendor show at the Union United Church of Christ grove, Neffs, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 19.

Chairperson Diana Haines reports the event will feature a variety of quality handcrafted items from about 60 participants.

Refreshment stands will be open 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and there will be a bake sale.

The annual Roar with the Lions Festival begins July 25 with refreshment stands opening in the grove 5 p.m. Midnight Special will entertain 7-10 p.m.

On July 26, food stands will be open 5-10 p.m. The Large Flowerheads will be on stage 7-10 p.m. There will be a bake sale and ticket raffle.

Erin Heintzelman has been installed as president of the Upper Lehigh Lions Club. She offered comments on her new position.

“I am incredibly grateful to Immediate Past President Ken Ritter for giving me a great foundation to take over as president.” She thanked members for their dedication during the past year.

“I am very excited to work together to accomplish great things for the upcoming year,” Heintzelman said.

The Upper Lehigh Historical Society will host a flea market at the Schneck House 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 26. The rain date is July 27.

The Schneck House, a log structure, is located along Route 873 across from McDonald’s in Schnecksville. Vendors should bring their own tables. There is a charge. Proceeds will benefit the Upper Lehigh Historical Society which is the steward of the Schneck House.

Funds will be used for upkeep of the building. Some imminent repairs are needed to fix damage caused by what was reported to be a red squirrel.
