Elaine M. Campbell
Elaine M. Campbell, 87, of North Catasauqua, died July 11, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Allentown. She was the wife of the late Robert E. Campbell.
Born in Catasauqua, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Shelanick) Hudy.
She graduated from Whitehall High School.
She worked for Mack Trucks in the accounts payable department for more than 30 years before retiring.
She was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church of Allentown.
She was an accomplished vocalist and performer. She began her piano and voice studies in the Allentown area at an early age and was a soloist while attending high school and later at many weddings and community events. She landed many leading roles for the Allentown Municipal Opera Company as well as in shows such as “The Sound of Music,” “Oklahoma” and “The Unsinkable Molly Brown.” Elaine also enjoyed entertaining audiences as a part of the Touch of Class trio and in the Allentown Band.
She is survived by a daughter, Heather Nielsen and husband Kirk; a son, Troy; eight grandchildren, Adriena and Zach Geiser, Madison and Bryan Seidel, Michael Marano and fiancee Jackie Salg, Jordan Nielsen, Payton and Brynn; three great-grandchildren, Bowie, Ila and Brooks; a sister, Marianne Demko-Lange; and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Simon.
There will be a calling time 10-11 a.m., followed by a memorial service 11 a.m., July 28 at the funeral home, 234 Walnut St., Catasauqua.
