Egypt/Cementon: VFW to host July concerts

Celebrate summer at Egypt Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7293 with a trio of July concerts: Smith Compound Band July 19, Alias July 25 and Burn July 26. All concerts begin 7:30 p.m. at the Post, 5209 Springmill Road.

All concerts are free to members, but there is a cost for guests and non-members.

Whitehall Township’s 2025 summer concert series at Whitehall Parkway, 4689 S. Church St., continues with performances by Tool Shed Jack July 19 and Main Street Cruisers July 26, both starting 6 p.m.

Admission is free. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

Shepherd of the Hills Church will hold services 10:15 a.m. July 27 at Egypt Memorial Park, Hillcrest Lane and Curt Simmons Drive, followed by the annual church picnic.

Hot dogs and coffee will be provided. Attendees are asked to bring a covered dish to share, and your own plates, utensils and cold drinks.

Join VFW Post 7293 for a U.S. Coast Guard birthday celebration 3:30 p.m. Aug. 3.

Building Bridges, a support group for families with estranged adult children, meets 6-7:30 p.m. every Thursday at the Egypt VFW. The group welcomes anyone seeking connection, support or a safe environment for discussion.

Whitehall Township Public Library is seeking candidates to fill upcoming vacancies on its board of trustees. Meetings are 6:30 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month.

Board candidates must be residents of th township. Interested parties must submit a cover letter and resume to Director Susan Bielucke at 3700 Mechanicsville Road.

Dance fitness classes continue 6:30 p.m. Tuesday nights at the Egypt park. Bring water and dumbbells, if you have them.
