Charlotte E. (German) Bauer, 81, of Slatington, died July 12, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Thomas R. Bauer. Born in North Whitehall Township, she was the daughter of the late Wilson O. and Eleanor G. (Weaver) German.

A graduate of the former Allentown Hospital School of Nursing in 1965, she held various nursing positions in the Lehigh Valley Health Network for 44 years before retiring in 2009. She was a member of the Lehigh Valley Heath Network Retirees Association. She was a member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs. Her hobbies include reading, traveling and planting flowers.

She is survived by siblings, Patricia A Burkhardt, of Schnecksville, Ellen J. Peters, of Whitehall, Elaine R. Schoemaker (Jeffrey), of Orefield, Wilson G. German, of Bath, Ruth M. Ruch, of Emmaus, Debra K. Allen (Thomas), of Kunkletown; many nieces, nephews and extended family; goddaughters, Michelle and Laura.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. July 19 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville with the Rev. Kayli L. Freeman officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects 9-11 a.m. before the service.
