Barbara L. Holmes, 79, of North Catasauqua, died July 12, 2025, at Sacred Heart Senior Living by the Creek in Northampton. She was the wife of the late Douglas R. Holmes for 53 years.

Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Minnie (Bogert) Tolan.

She graduated from Catasauqua High School.

She worked for many years in customer service for the former Daytimers. She also enjoyed working as a lunch lady for the Catasauqua Area School District at the former Lincoln Middle School.

She was also a member of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, Whitehall.

She is survived by a son, Todd and wife Gina and their daughters, Ella and Brooke; and a brother, Bryan Geist and wife Tracy.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Tracy L.

There will be a calling time 10-11:30 a.m., followed by a memorial service 11:30 a.m., July 17 at the funeral home, 234 Walnut St., Catasauqua.
