Upper Macungie Twp showing movie ‘Dog Man’ July 11

Upper Macungie Township will show the movie “Dog Man” (PG) July 11 at Lone Lane Park, 30 Lone Lane, Allentown.
Activities start around 5:30 p.m. and the movie will start as soon as the sun goes down.
Come dressed as your favorite superhero for a chance to win big in the township’s costume contest.
There will be surprised heroic guests appearances and face painters will be on hand.
The township in partnership with Lehigh Valley Martial Arts, 7150 Hamilton Blvd., Trexlertown, will offer a kids self-defense workshop noon to 1 p.m. July 12.
Preregistration is required.
Upper Macungie Township will hold its Grub and Groove at Grange series 5-8 p.m. Thursday’s until Sept. 25 in the parking lot Pavilion No. 1 at Grange Park, 360 Grange Road.
Come out and enjoy various food trucks and music.
The township, in partnership with Wildlands Conservancy, will host its “Feisty Paws and Pops” program for kids, families and nature lovers of all ages 6-7 p.m. July 18 at Lone Lane Park.
This program will feature an engaging live animal show led by trained Wildlands Conservancy handlers. After the show, chill out under the pavilion for some free frozen treats.
Upper Macungie Township’s “Claws, Codes and Constellations” Mad Science five-day summer camp for kids ages 6-12 will take place 9 a.m. to noon July 28 to Aug. 1 at Lone Lane Park, 30 Lone Lane.
Campers will discover how to send secret messages to their friends. They’ll follow a scent trail and become young astronauts as they learn about the mysteries of the solar system.
There is a cost for this program.

St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran, 1028 Church St., Fogelsville, will hold its Vacation Bible School Day 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 26.
Join them on the “Rocky Railway” for a one-day program filled with stories, games, music, crafts, lunch and more.
All are welcome to attend.
Students ages 5-12 may participate, teens may volunteer to be helpers.

Ziegels Union Church, 9990 Ziegels Church Road, Breinigsville, will hold its annual tractor and car show noon to 7 p.m. July 12 as part of the church’s 275th anniversary.
Entertainment will be by the Macungie Band, Brandywine Colonial Fife and Drum Corp, J-Tyme, Science by Mr. Fugazzatto, Marian and Friends, puppet show and more.
There will be food, games, raffles, a bake sale, tractor pulls and fun for all ages.

Zion’s Union Church Maxatawny, 329 Church Road, Kutztown, will hold its summer Vacation Bible School “On the go with God” 9-10 a.m. Sundays, July 20 to Aug. 17.
There will be crafts, Bible stories, games and a snack.
