DUI Checkpoint
Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville conducted a DUI checkpoint at the intersection of Lower Macungie Road and Wild Cherry Lane, Lower Macungie Township, 10 p.m. June 6 to 4 a.m. June 7, according to a recent news release. The checkpoint resulted in three DUI arrests, according to authorities. Troopers stopped 35 motorists.
Drug possession
A 62-year-old female motorist, of Allentown, was taken into custody on an active arrest warrant after a traffic stop along Kressler Road, Lower Macungie Township, 1:08 p.m., May 24, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The motorist also allegedly had a small amount of marijuana with her at the time of the incident, according to authorities.
A 47-year-old male motorist, of Allentown, was arrested for possession of dangerous drugs and attempting to destroy evidence after a traffic stop in the area of Hamilton Boulevard and Kressler Road, Lower Macungie Township, 4:55 p.m. June 3, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Retail theft
A 14-year-old male, of Allentown, allegedly removed multiple fragrance testers, with a total value of $845, from retailer Ulta Beauty, 833 N. Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, between May 13 and May 20, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Merchandise valued at $49.91 was removed from Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, May 13, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Someone allegedly under scanned numerous items at self-checkout terminals at Weis Markets, 3440 Grandview Drive, Lower Macungie Township, between Jan. 1 and June 1, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Disorderly conduct
A 50-year-old female, of Emmaus, was cited for disorderly conduct after she allegedly acted erratically, including performing handstands in the parking lot, at Texas Roadhouse restaurant, 6268 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, 11:02 p.m. May 11, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Restaurant employees, concerned for the female’s welfare, called state police. She also allegedly did not pay for her meal at the restaurant.
Elder abuse
An in-home health care agency employee allegedly verbally and physically abused a 97-year-old person in a private residence located along Buckeye Road, Upper Milford Township, June 2, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Vehicle theft
A resident of Janes Lane, Lower Milford Township, discovered a vehicle was removed, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported May 14.
Criminal mischief
Two vehicles were scratched while parked at a shopping mall along Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, 2:46 p.m. May 18, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
A vehicle was scratched while parked in a lot along Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, 5:32 p.m. May 28, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Hit and run
A 34-year-old male motorist, of Macungie, allegedly hit a pedestrian in the area of Hamilton Boulevard and Brookside Road, Lower Macungie Township, 9:13 p.m. May 22, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The pedestrian was walking in a marked crosswalk when struck, according to authorities. The motorist allegedly initially left the area but was later identified.
Crashes
A motorcyclist was hurt when he lost control of his motorcycle when trying to slow down at a railroad crossing along Schoeneck Road, Lower Macungie Township, 6:32 a.m. May 30, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The motorist was about 700 feet north of Scenic View Road when the crash happened. The driver had minor injuries and was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital, according to authorities. Macungie Ambulance Corps also responded.
A Pottstown motorist escaped injury when he struck a utility pole and a street sign along Chestnut Street, Upper Milford Township, 5:56 p.m. May 16, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The driver was approximately 500 feet south of Powder Valley Road when he went off the right side of the road and crashed into the pole and sign, according to authorities.
Harassment
A 50-year-old male, of Wescosville, was arrested May 29 for harassment after he allegedly texted another person on three separate occasions in violation of a court order at a location on Pioneer Drive, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Troopers responded to a location in the 6700 block of Ivy Lane, Lower Macungie Township, for a disturbance in a vehicle 5:13 p.m. June 8, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. A male and a female were involved in a verbal argument in the vehicle, according to authorities.
Simple trespass
Three juveniles allegedly trespassed at a residence along Wild Cherry Lane, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported 4 p.m. June 4.
Theft
A resident of Chestnut Street, Upper Milford Township, reported a firearm was taken from their home, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The theft was reported June 6. The firearm was later recovered by the Montgomery Township Police Department, according to authorities.
A tax refund check was removed from a residence along Lurman Drive, Lower Macungie Township, sometime between July 26, 2024 and March 30, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
A resident of Treeline Drive, Lower Macungie Township, reported as stolen a purse, an iPhone 12 smartphone, a driver’s license and a credit card, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The theft was reported May 2.

A resident of Promise Lane, Lower Macungie Township, learned his address was used to open an company, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported April 22 at the state police station, Schantz Road, according to authorities.
A resident of Crane Xing, Lower Macungie Township, reported personal information was stolen, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported April 8.
A resident of Treeline Drive, Lower Macungie Township, reported providing personal information to an unknown caller April 16, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported April 21.
A resident of South Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, learned unauthorized charges were made to a debit account, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported May 27.
