Whitehall man dies after crash in Nesquehoning

A Lehigh County man died following injuries suffered in a vehicle crash June 30 in Nesquehoning.

According to the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office and Forensics Center, Rajnesh Prasad, 64, of Whitehall Township, was pronounced dead 4:17 p.m. at St. Luke’s University Hospital, Bethlehem.

The crash occurred 10:55 a.m. near the state game land shooting range along Route 93.

Prasad was the operator of a motor vehicle that was on the roadway and struck a tree stump.

The cause of death was blunt force injuries due to motor vehicle collision, the coroner’s office said. The manner of death was ruled accidental.

In addition to the coroner’s office, Nesquehoning Police Department also investigated.
