Richard Charles Ryan (aka “Moose”), 90, of Emmaus, died peacefully June 1, 2025, at the Cedar Crest Post Acute facility. He was born in the Bronx, New York City and lived in Closter, N.J. where he raised his family before moving to Emmaus.

He was an advocate for his favorite animal, the moose and often took trips to Vermont and New Hampshire to photograph wildlife. Additionally, he was an avid lover of trains and his hobby of train photography, which he shared with his two sons from a very young age.

He was a devoted, loving husband to his wife of 60 years, Beverly and a wonderful father to his sons Jim (deceased) and Tom.

Funeral arrangements will be private.
