Fullerton: Church collecting school supplies

St. John’s United Church of Christ, 575 Grape St., is collecting backpacks and school supplies for students in Whitehall-Coplay School District. A list of supplies was included in the July newsletter.

A shopping list and a collection bin can be found on the table in the coatroom area next to the sanctuary.

There is also a drive-by donation event set for 10 a.m.-noon July 19 in the Grape Street parking lot.

The deadline to drop off items is July 27.

St. John’s UCC will be collecting pancake mix, pancake syrup, coffee and canned baked beans for the month of July for Whitehall Food Pantry. Any other nonperishable food items, as well as monetary contributions, are always welcome.

A shopping cart can be found in the coatroom area by the sanctuary for the food donations.

If you wish to volunteer at the food pantry 9-11 a.m. or 5:30-8 p.m. the fourth Monday of each month at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, contact Gary Black at 484-274-2405 or gary.t.black@outlook.com.

St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church, 618 Fullerton Ave., reminds all to save the date for the annual golf tournament Sept. 27 at Whitetail Golf Course, 2679 Klein Road, Bath. This tournament benefits the school for technology and equipment funding.
