Shenandoah University

Hoover earns dean’s list

Katya Hoover, of Walnutport, is one of 1,053 students named to Shenandoah University’s dean’s list for the spring 2025 semester. To qualify, students must be enrolled full time in baccalaureate degree programs and earn a semester grade-point average of 3.5 or higher. Dean’s list students who achieve a semester GPA of 3.9 or higher also qualify for the university’s president’s list.

Shenandoah University was established in 1875 and is headquartered in Winchester, Va., with additional educational sites in Clarke and Loudoun counties and online offerings. Shenandoah is a private, nationally recognized university that blends professional career experiences with wide-ranging education. University of Alabama

Sheldon named to director’s list

A total of 508 students, including Elizabeth Sheldon, of Northampton and a student at Northampton Area High School enrolled in University of Alabama Early College during the spring semester of 2025, were named to the director’s list with an academic record of 3.6 or higher.

UA Early College allows high school students to get a head start on their college courses. High school sophomores, juniors and seniors enrolled in UA Early College can choose from more than 80 different online and on-campus courses and earn up to 30 hours of college credit.

College of Charleston

Gier graduates

Mackenzie Gier, of Whitehall, graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from the College of Charleston. Gier was among more than 1,700 bachelor’s degree and master’s degree candidates who participated in the College of Charleston spring 2025 commencement ceremony.

Northampton Community College

Students earn dean’s list

More than 2,000 students have been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2025 semester at Northampton Community College. This honor is awarded to students who have completed a minimum of six credits and have achieved at least a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
