The Allentown Area Ecumenical Food Bank is seeking volunteers to help in our Client Choice Food Pantry Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to noon for one or more days per month or Thursday evenings from 3 to 6 p.m. Help clients select their food and place it in the bags. For volunteers interested in tutoring English as a Second Language (ESL) and GED exam preparation to adult students, online or in person, contact the Center for Career Pathways and Literacy at Lehigh Carbon Community College Donley Center, Allentown. Volunteers are needed for our post-fourth of July community cleanup on Sunday, July 13, from 9:30 a.m. until noon for the Greater Easton Development Partnership West Ward Community Initiative. Individuals and groups check in at 100 N 12th St., Easton. Clean up supplies include FREE trash bags, gloves, and a few other surprises. Trash grabbers for sale for $5 (cash only). Do you like food, fun, and festivities? Join Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites for the sweetest treat of the summer – Blueberry Festival! We are looking for volunteers to help in many capacities, including setup beginning July 17; Market To Go, 2:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on July 18; assisting with children’s activities, serving pie, the tasting tent, and admissions during the festival hours July 19 & 20; and cleanup 6 to 9 p.m. on July 20. Help spread awareness about the critical childcare support we offer to families facing serious health challenges. Ribbons of C.A.R.E. is looking for dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to volunteer their time staffing a table at our upcoming events throughout the Lehigh Valley and surrounding regions. Tasks include setup and takedown, distributing informational materials, educating the public about our mission and services, and engaging with community members. Volunteers are needed to help with the animal chores at The Gress Mountain Ranch in Orefield. Assist with the daily feeding and watering of Stanley Llama, the pigs, goats, horses, ponies, alpacas, and other resident animals. Small groups can help with ground maintenance, composting, and cleaning of stalls. Minimum age 14, or 10 with parent supervision.
