Northwestern Elementary held their annual End of the Year Party on May 30.
Bounce House and Kona Ice Day is a celebration everyone very much looks forward to.
Parent volunteers supported the staff ensuring everyone was safe as they bounced around the gymnasium, helped kids with shaved ice selections, and kept them on schedule.
The party was funded by Northwestern Elementary parent-teacher organization, Partners in Education.
PIE sponsors various enriching experiences for students throughout the year thanks to generous families donating to the Booster Fun Run in the fall.

First grader Bryce K. could hardly wait for his turn to race friends through the obstacle course. He wanted to stay and play with his friends all day.
First grader Clara B. just raced a friend. She was not expecting the speed of the slide at the end and was pleasantly surprised.
Jodi Chandler’s third grade students liked discussing flavor concoctions, taste buds, and best recipes. Everyone was pleased with their sweet selections.
Third grader Ricky A. has had several years to experiment and perfect his perfect Kona Ice flavor combination. This year’s mix of Groovy Grape, Blue Raspberry, and Tiger’s Blood did not disappoint.
Tiger’s Blood is always a favorite in Tiger Country. It was a hard decision, but third grade student Caleb R. chose Blue Raspberry.
Even support dog Baxter enjoyed a cup of shaved ice. Getting to the bottom of the cup seemed to be a fun game.
Fifth grade students Nora K. and Lucas P. hurried through the obstacle courses several times. Determining a winner was impossible.
Fifth grade friends Leah E. and McKenzie L. weren’t feeling competitive. They kept it friendly and very light but they were super fast through the obstacle courses.
