Fountain Hill Police report an 18-year-old man has been arrested in the July 4 shooting of three people at a residence in the 900 block of Delaware Avenue.

Two men and a woman required surgery for their injuries and are expected to survive. One man was shot four times, the second was shot in the leg and a woman was shot in the stomach.

The alleged shooter, Anthony Jamir Estrella, of the borough, accidentally wounded himself in the leg and was taken into custody at St. Luke’s hospital when he came for his own medical treatment.

Police Chief Ed Bachert told media Estrella arrived at the party uninvited and was asked to leave. He opened fire with a pistol around 9:55 p.m.

Estrella is charged with three counts of aggravated assault, four counts of recklessly endangering others and a single count of carrying a firearm without a license.

He was remanded to Lehigh County Prison and faces a July 11 preliminary hearing.
