In a press release, Allentown police report being called to Burger King, 1958 S. Fourth St., Allentown, 6:14 p.m. June 28 for the report of a stabbing.

Upon arrival, officers located a victim employee with a stab wound to the throat. Officers immediately rendered first aid and the victim was transported by Allentown EMS to Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest.

Patrol officers were able to locate the suspect, also an employee who was detained.

Through this investigation, Brinley Capellan-Lopez, 18, was charged with alleged attempted homicide, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault.
