David R. (Homer) Scheirer, 78, formerly of Slatington, died June 26, 2025, at Phoebe Home, Allentown. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Robert R. and Edith L. (Kline) Scheirer.

He was employed as a mechanic at Stew’s Tire, Dave Edwards Garage and the former Wentz Automotive before retiring.

He is survived by a sister, Carol E. Miller, of Allentown; niece, Sharon L. Lang; nephews, Kevin L. Miller, Scott D. Miller Sr. He was predeceased by a nephew, Gary R. Miller.
