Clifford R. Dietrich

of Lenhartsville

Clifford R. Dietrich, 86, of Lenhartsville, died April 12, 2025, in Willow Brook Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Kutztown. He was the widower of Joyce C. (Snyder) Dietrich. They were married 61 years before her passing. Born in Greenwich Township, he was a son of the late Harvey S. and Edna K. E. (Dietrich) Dietrich.

He was a 1957 graduate of Kutztown Area High School. He also attended The Pennsylvania State University for two years.

He was a dedicated and hardworking farmer for over 60 years. He also was employed by Kraft Foods, Inc., Fogelsville, for 25 years, and operated the former Country Harvest Produce Stand in Kutztown for many years.

He was a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ as his savior, a dedicated member of Grace Church Kutztown and an active member of Gideons International. He was a lifelong member of Virginville Grange 1832 and a proud member of the Berks County Patriots. He was a man of quiet strength, known for his warmth and the kindness he showed to others. His reflective nature led him to deeply appreciate life’s simple pleasures including spending time with family, reading, music, hoe downing and desserts.

He cherished his Pennsylvania Dutch heritage and enjoyed conversing in his first language with anyone who knew the dialect. For many years he volunteered at the Kutztown Folk Festival, the Pennsylvania German Heritage Center at Kutztown University and at local voting polls.

He is survived by daughters Joan (Dietrich) and her husband, John Dietrich, of Kutztown and Lisa (Dietrich) and her husband, Bryan Peters, of Fogelsville; son, David, of Kempton; grandchildren, Aaron and his wife, Chastity (Cook), Christian, Jed and his wife, Erin (Hoffer), Breton, Chelsea (Dietrich) German and her husband, Justin, Tyler and his wife, Angela (Corrado), Julia (Peters) Shoff and her husband, Damian, Laura Peters, Bryan Peters Jr. and his wife, Terra (Ali), Lydia Peters, Jacob Peters and Katie Peters; great-grandchildren, Parker Thompson, Ellie, Nova and Han, Coralynn and Emilia German, Blayke Kranch, Abraham, Samson, Lazarus and Eleazar Shoff and Georgia Peters; many nieces and nephews; good friend and devoted companion, Carole A. (Zettlemoyer) Heiter.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Stanley, Robert, Lee and Earl.
