Jayne Kuntzleman Moxey
Jayne Kuntzleman Moxey, 87, died on June 25, 2025, on her birthday. She was the daughter of the late Rev. Walter Allen Kuntzleman and Phyllis Lehman Kuntzleman. She was born in Nescopeck, Pa. and raised in Bath.
She began her college education at Moravian College until she transferred to Muhlenberg College as one of the first females to matriculate. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English. At Muhlenberg, she made many lifelong friends, and most importantly, met the love of her life and husband of 56 years, the late Ronald Moxey.
After graduating, she and her husband moved to Norfolk, Va. where she began her teaching career. There they found one of their favorite places, Virginia Beach. Over the years, they returned frequently to vacation with their family. She loved the beach, and they made many trips to Bermuda and Cape May, two other happy places for them.
She and her husband moved to Emmaus to raise their family. She devoted herself to her family but also was a storyteller for the Emmaus Public Library, a charter member of the 1803 House, a substitute teacher in the East Penn School District and member of The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, the church founded by her father. She was on the vanguard regarding physical wellness, a way of life for her. She was one of the first fitness instructors at Rodale Energy Center, part of Rodale Inc. She was an avid gardener, reader and lover of Philadelphia sports.
She is survived by her children, Andy (Allison), Tim (Liz) and Beth (Jim); grandchildren, Tyler, Ashley (Seth), Todd (Colleen), Timothy, Clare and Thomas; great-grandchild, Wyatt; brother, Charles Kuntzleman (Beth); beloved nieces and nephews; many, many friends.
Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus handled the arrangements.
