Eugenia “Nina” Mackiewicz, 81, of Warrington and formerly of Whitehall, died June 3, 2025. She was the wife of the late Richard Mackiewicz for 59 years.

Raised in Nanticoke, she was a daughter of the late Theodore and Celia Szmurlo.

She graduated from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Wilkes Barre.

She retired as a registered nurse from Phoebe Allentown.

She was a member and volunteer at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church and the school in Whitehall for many years, where she was once active in The Rosary Altar Society.

She is survived by a son, Jeffrey and wife Tammy of Whitehall; a daughter, Rebecca Arnaiz and husband Tom of Lansdale; two granddaughters, Allie and Sofie of Lansdale; a brother, Gerald Szmurlo and wife Kathy of Mesquite, Nev.; and a sister, Janet Kanon and partner John Fowler of Nashville, Tenn.

Arrangements were made by Gilbert Funeral Home Inc., Whitehall.
