Slippery Rock University

Slivka named to dean’s list

Alex Slivka, of Northampton, was named to Slippery Rock University’s dean’s list for the spring 2025 semester. The dean’s list consists of SRU undergraduate students who earned an adjusted semester grade-point average of 3.5 or higher, based on a schedule of at least 12 newly attempted and earned credits.

Slippery Rock University is a four-year, public, coeducational, regional comprehensive university that offers a broad array of undergraduate and select graduate programs to more than 8,000 students. SRU is one of 10 institutions and 14 campuses that make up Pennsylvania’s State System of Higher Education. SRU is fully accredited by the Middle State Commission on Higher Learning.

Ohio University

Dorward, Mory named to provost’s list

Following the completion of each semester, Ohio University recognizes the academic achievements of its students by publishing the president’s, dean’s and provost’s lists. The provost’s list recognition is shared with high-achieving, part-time undergraduate students who exemplify academic success. Qualifying students must possess a 3.5 or greater GPA and between 6 and 11.99 credit hours attempted for letter grades that are used to calculate GPA.

In spring semester 2025, approximately 2,180 of Ohio University’s part-time undergraduate students qualified for the provost’s list, including Kelly Dorward, of Bath, and Zach Mory, of Northampton.

At Kutztown University, 2,193 students have been named to the spring 2025 dean’s list. To be eligible for this honor, an undergraduate student must be registered for at least 12 credits and have a minimum GPA of 3.60.

University of Rhode Island

Dean’s list is announced

The University of Rhode Island is pleased to announce that Selah Scarborough, of Bath, and Megan Wallitsch, of Whitehall, have been named to its spring 2025 dean’s list. To be included in his honor, full-time students must have completed 12 or more credits for letter grades, which are GPA applicable during a semester, and achieved at least a 3.30 quality-point average. Part-time students qualify with the accumulation of 12 or more credits for letter grades, which are GPA applicable, earning at least a 3.30 QPA. Students named to the dean’s list represent nearly all of Rhode Island’s cities and towns, all six New England states, New York, New Jersey and many other states and countries.

James Madison University

Hutter graduates, named to president’s list

Whitehall resident Meghan Hutter graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in health sciences from James Madison University during commencement exercises in May. Hutter was among 4,575 students who received undergraduate and graduate degrees.

Hutter was also named to the president’s list for the spring 2025 semester. Students who earn president’s list honors must carry at least 12 graded credit hours and earn a GPA of 3.900 or above.

Saint Francis University

Korpics earns dean’s list

Raine Korpics, of Walnutport, majoring in health science, has been named to the dean’s list at Saint Francis University. Both the president’s and dean’s lists were announced June 4. A total of 777 students were named — 250 to the president’s list and 527 to the dean’s list.
