Susan J. Redline - teacher

Susan J. Redline, of Bethlehem, died June 20, 2025, from pancreatic and liver cancer at her cottage in Moravian Village. She was the daughter of Charles and Marion (Muhr) Redline. She attended Bethlehem area schools and graduated from Liberty HS in 1964 and Bloomsbury State Teachers College in 1968. She earned a master’s degrees in elementary education as a reading specialist, and in administration with a principal’s certificate.

She taught school for 35 years. A Fulbright awardee, she was in 1972 a one year exchange teacher in Scotland, where she was presented to Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother.

She traveled in in England, Scotland and Wales, Paris, Amsterdam and East and West Berlin. Following the end of the school year, was a solo traveler in Europe, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Vienna and Salzburg, Italy, Germany and Iceland.

She was a first class deluxe tour leader in the US, Canada, Great Britain and Europe the Panama Canal and on cruises.

She worked in her parents’ pharmacy, Redline Drug Store.

She was an imposter on “To Tell the Truth” program with Gary Moore in 1972.

She was a Musikfest volunteer, a trolley hostess and a Moravian docent

She is survived by a brother, Dr. Richard Redline (wife Patricia) of Newton, New Jersey; a nephew, Britain Redline (children London, August, Maple and Grayson) of Portland, Oregon; and a niece, Dr. Whitney Sherman (husband Thomas and children Blair, Kate and Brooks) of Conestoga.
