NOVA chicken BBQ set for July 19
The auxiliary of Northern Valley EMS, NOVA, is having a chicken barbecue noon to 5 p.m. July 19, take out only.
The menu will include half a chicken, baked potato, corn on the cob, pickled cabbage, a roll and a cupcake.

The Upper Lehigh Lions had a busy week serving food at the Schnecksville Community Fair.
The club recently donated $6,000 to the Neffs Fire Company and provided a scholarship for a student from Lehigh Career and Technical Institute.
Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, will have a Blessing of the Animals service in the grove 10:30 a.m. July 13. From 4:30-8 p.m. July 13 The Iron Grille and The Udder Bar food trucks will be present in the grove. Free music will be provided by Steel Creek 5:30-8 p.m.
Union Lutheran Church, Schnecksville, will host a Christmas in July concert featuring the Hearts for Music special needs orchestra and Dolcetto, the Glenn Hofmann Trio, 7 p.m. July 11.
Organized and directed by Union Lutheran Church member Jackie Bucks, the Hearts for Music special needs orchestra traveled to Rome in April and performed before 10,000 people in Vatican City.
The Union Lutheran group of 15 children was joined on the trip and concert by an ensemble from Ohio where the charity, Hearts for Music, is based.
The intention was to play for Pope Francis but he died before the orchestra’s arrival.
Nevertheless, the program was enjoyed by participants and the large audience.
Dolcetto, consisting of Debra Hofmann, Glenn Hofmann and Jeffrey Halbert, performs on saxophones, keyboard, trumpet, clarinet, flute, harmonica, percussion and voice to produce a blend of music pleasing to anyone.
The concert is free, although donations will be accepted to benefit Hearts for Music.
