EHS names student of the week

Q. In what grade did you just complete?

A. I recently graduated from Emmaus High School.

Q. Please provide the first names of your family members: parents, siblings and pets.

A. My family members include my parents, David and Christina and my younger brother, Conner. I have two dogs named Coco and Zoey.

Q. What was your favorite subject? Why?

A. My favorite subject was anatomy and physiology because I enjoy learning about the body and how each part works.

Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?

A. I graduated with honors. I received the President’s Honor Roll every semester at EHS. I won the Tommy Gray Award in Soccer. I was a 2nd Team EDPC Soccer All Star and 1st Team Lehigh County All Star.

Q. Are you involved in any extracurricular activities? How did being involved in these organizations impact your high school experience?

A. I have played club soccer my entire life and currently play for Hex Dominion. I am also on the Hex Tempest WPSL team. I played varsity soccer for four years and also ran track at EHS.

Playing high school sports allowed me to make some really close friends that I knew on and off the field. It also helped me to become a great leader. Finally, playing sports throughout my life has helped me learn to manage my time very well and this should also help me in college.

Q. What do you consider your biggest challenge to date?

A. I have had to deal with several sports injuries that took me away from what I love to do.

Q. What is your next goal after high school?

A. After high school I will be attending Muhlenberg College to study medicine and continue playing soccer.

Q. If you could spend an evening conversing with a historically significant person, whom would you choose? Why?

A. If I could spend an evening talking to a historically significant person, it would be Anne Frank. I have always found her story to be extremely interesting and would like to understand how she managed to be so strong in the horrible conditions of the Holocaust.

Q. For what would you like to be remembered?

A. I would like to be remembered as both a good athlete and student. I want to be remembered as someone who is hardworking and also a good role model for other students.

Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?

A. If I could give advice to my peers, it would be to get involved in clubs and sports. It is important to join activities you enjoy in order to have good mental health.
