Northampton: Community Days Fair scheduled for July 16-19 at Municipal Park

The annual Northampton Community Days Fair will hold its opening day ceremonies 5-6 p.m. July 16. Come join the fun at this family event that will be open 5-10 p.m. every day through July 19 at Municipal Park, Smith Lane and Laubach Avenue.

Rides run 6-10 p.m., and there will be bingo, activities, live music from several different bands and food choices from a record number of vendors.

The last day will feature a wiffle ball tournament 11 a.m.-6 p.m. and the firefighters parade and presentation of awards 5:30-7:30 p.m. Fireworks will start 10:15 p.m. to provide a spectacular finish.

Northampton Fire Department 42 is hosting its third annual fire cadet camp July 7-11 at the station, 4 Lerchenmiller Drive. The camp, open to borough residents only until further notice, is scheduled for 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. each day with a graduation ceremony July 12.

The camp teaches young adults, ages 11-15, what a firefighter does. There will be events each day that will include hands-on training, team building, mentorship and more.

The camp is free this year due to generous donations. There is a maximum capacity of 20 students.

Holy Trinity Nursery School, 1235 Main St., is currently registering for the 2025-26 school year. Spaces are limited in all three classes.

The 2-year-old playgroup class will meet 9:30-11 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays. Class size is limited to 12. Children do not need to be toilet trained.

The 3-year-old class meets 9-11:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. Class size is limited to 16. Children need to be toilet trained.

The 4-year-old class meets 12:15-2:45 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Class size is limited to 16. Children need to be toilet trained.

Children must turn the appropriate age for the class by Sept 1.
