Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, 604 Fourth St., makes lunches for the Catasauqua and North Catasauqua park programs, which run through Aug. 1. Call the church office at 610-264-2641 if you’d like to make lunches in the morning or serve lunches at the parks. No cooking skills are required.

You don’t have to commit every day or every week.

Child abuse and Pennsylvania criminal clearances are required — and free — if you want to serve lunches.

Reminder: The summer concert series will continue with BC Combo, performing 7-10 p.m. June 27 at the Catasauqua Park and Playground amphitheater, 501 American St. Bring your own lawn chair and/or blanket, and settle in for a fun, musical night in the park.

Holy Trinity would like to thank all for their donations to the food pantry. Soups and macaroni and cheese that can be cooked by just adding water are flying off the shelves.

To address specific needs, donations suggested are individual microwaveable items that don’t need refrigeration, such as Chef Boyardee, Cup o’ Noodles, soups, macaroni and cheese, juice boxes, peanut butter and jelly, crackers, individual servings of fruit and bottled water. Personal care items are also in need, such as toilet paper, shampoo, body wash, toothbrushes, toothpaste and deodorant.
