Board members at Allentown Area Ecumenical Food Bank are actively involved in both leadership and service. Key responsibilities include strategic planning, budgeting and fiduciary oversight, policy development, and resource generation. Volunteers are needed for our post-fourth of July community cleanup on Sunday, July 13, from 9:30 a.m. until noon for the Greater Easton Development Partnership West Ward Community Initiative. Individuals and groups check in at 100 N 12th St., Easton. Clean up supplies include FREE trash bags, gloves, and a few other surprises. Trash grabbers for sale for $5 (cash only). Help fight hunger — deliver meals to homebound seniors & adults with disabilities for Meals on Wheels of the Greater LV. M-F deliveries originate from 9 pickup locations throughout the Valley. Sign up when available using our online scheduler; shifts start between 10 & 10:30 a.m. and take 60 to 90 minutes to complete. Deliver on your own or with a friend. As a greeter you are the first person that visitors meet at the Museum of Indian Culture in Allentown. Volunteers are needed during regular hours of operation to provide basic information in response to questions asked by those visiting and handling retail sales in the gift shop.
