Man cited
for fireworks
State Police Troop M, Bethlehem say Troopers were dispatched around 8:10 p.m. June 8 to 4550 Springfield Drive, North Whitehall Township, for a welfare check of an individual.
Upon interview(s) with neighboring residents, it was discovered that Shane Cox, 55, an occupant at the location allegedly had been setting off fireworks previously in the day and began confrontations with several neighbors.
According to police, Cox was given several warnings to refrain from igniting more fireworks, to which Troopers observed the individual to disobey these warnings and further complaints were made.
Police allege Cox admitted to Troopers that he was igniting fireworks with the intentions to perturb his neighbors.
Police say Cox further appeared to allegedly be under the influence of alcohol.
Two non-traffic citations have been filed for disorderly conduct and firework related violation(s), police say.

from Weis
State Police Troop M, Bethlehem, say at 5:28 p.m. May 28 Troopers responded to Weis Markets in the 5000 block of Route 873, North Whitehall Township, for a report of a retail theft.
Police allege, in the commission of this incident, a presumed mother and daughter duo, over the past month, had acted against Weis to purposefully under ring and not scan numerous items.
According to police, the duo allegedly stole assorted edible grocery items, valued at $345.52 and non-edible grocery items valued at $29.46 for the combined amount of $374.98.
