Welcome to summer! This area has many things going on this summer, sometimes you just have to look and see what works with your schedule. Many are even free or low cost!
SteelStacks continues to offer a free family movie series this summer. They are showing “Cinderella” (75th anniversary) 6:30 p.m. June 18 and “Inside Out 2” June 25. There is always something happening at SteelStacks from family movies to the summer concert series. Check out their schedule.
Join Salisbury Township for IronPigs night July 1 for a 7:05 p.m. game. Tickets must be ordered by June 20 using the registration form found on the township website and payment must be submitted to the township. Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church of Eastern Salisbury is hosting a bus trip to Sight and Sound to see “NOAH” Aug. 12. The bus will leave 10 a.m., lunch is noon and the show begins 3 p.m. Reservations are due by June 29. Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church of Eastern Salisbury will host “An Afternoon with Elvis” with a tribute performance by Jeff Krick Jr. 2-3:30 p.m. Sept. 21 at the church. There is limited seating; get your reservations in early by contacting Louise at 484-456-1148 or 610-866-1611.
Mark your calendars for 1-4 p.m. Sept. 27 when AM Radio returns to Franko Park for a free concert. Food will also be available from Top of the Hill Grill food truck and dessert from the So Cool Ice Cream truck will be available.
The township recycling drop off sites are open. The Franko Farm site will be open June 19 and 21 and the Devonshire site will be open June 23, 26 and 28. Drop off center hours will be 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays and 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturdays.
