June 19

The Emmaus High School Class of 1965 will host its 60th year class reunion starting noon at The Patio at Delizioso Italian Grill, 1985 Brookside Road, Macungie. Appetizers will be followed by a buffet lunch. There is a per person cost for tickets. June 21

Upper Milford Township Recreation Committee, UMYA and Upper Milford Township will host a Jasper Day Celebration at Jasper Park, 4960 Vera Cruz Road, 1-4 p.m. The family-friendly event will include the Tour de Vera Cruz 5K Trail Run, the 1.5K Family Summer Stroll as well as games and fun on the park playground.

June 24

Hivel Und Dahl Preservation Society will meet 7 p.m. at the Upper Milford Township building, 5671 Chestnut St., Zionsville. The program is “Geography, Geology and Genius: how coal and canals ignited the American Industrial Revolution.” Martha Capwell-Fox, historian for the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor, Inc. will present the program. Hear the stories of those who were responsible for the rapid innovations in transportation and industry.

June 28

The 1803 House, 55 S. Keystone Ave., Emmaus, will participate in Lehigh Valley Passport to History 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

A patriotic program and concert with the Allentown Marine Band, under the direction of Matthew Becker, will be held 7 p.m. at Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church, 3441 Devonshire Road, Allentown. The event will be held outside in the grove, weather permitting, or otherwise inside the historic 1819 sanctuary of the church. This concert will inspire patriotism and cover various time periods of American music. Joshua Arthur Fink, church and local historian will emcee the program and present history segments in between the music. The audience will be able sing along to several pieces of music, including the Star Spangled Banner and God Bless America. The program will also include a special recognition of those veterans present at the program. The program will end with the ever popular march, “The Stars and Stripes Forever,” by John Philip Sousa. Ice cream and drinks will be served following the concert. Donations will be accepted.

June 29

Annual program at the Dillingersville School House, 7226 School House Lane, Zionsville, 10:30 a.m. All are welcome! Once a year, they gather at the school house to remember the days of yore.

Bring your own lawn chairs or sit in wooden chairs under the big tent (in case of severe weather, the event will be held at Zion’s Evangelical Lutheran church. Check Facebook page to get more information). A PA Dutch style picnic lunch will be available for a donation plus there is a bake sale 12:30 p.m. An hour of entertainment includes the Palzer Krischer un der Blohbariyer (Scott Reagan), a local who works at Martin Guitar.
