The Church of the Good Shepherd, located at 135 Quarry Road, Alburtis, hosted a well-attended craft and vendor show featuring handmade crafts, a gift basket auction, attic treasures, baked goods, perennial plants, and a variety of refreshments and lunch options.
The event brought together local vendors and community members for a day of shopping and fellowship.
The church, an active part of the Alburtis community, was established with a groundbreaking ceremony on Oct. 11, 1970.
Rev. Edward T. Schantz, pastor of Longswamp United Church of Christ and moderator of the Penn Southwest Cluster, delivered the sermon.
Cornerstone services followed on June 6, 1971.

One of the handmade items for sale outside was a bee and butterfly water dish. If they get their wings wet, they cannot fly. They will land on the stones to drink.
The gift basket items were in the center of the community room.
Greg Dotter and Joanne Nosal. Greg said, “The way the church was designed, everything had a function.”
