Richard Paul Moyer
Richard Paul Moyer, 92, of Fellowship Community, died May 26, 2025. He was the husband of the late Madeline (Sokol) Moyer for 67 years.
Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Paul Andrew and Esther Mae (Miller) Moyer.
He was a 1950 graduate of Whitehall High School. He also graduated from Pasadena City College and Lafayette College.
He served four years in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
After leaving the service, he worked in Virginia for several years. Back in Pennsylvania, he was employed by Air Products, Homer Research Labs and Ingersoll Rand.
After retiring, he started a second career working at Fellowship Community as assistant vice president of managing facility engineering projects.
He served on the church council at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Fullerton.
He belonged to Whitehall Township Historical Preservation Society and was a life member of Fullerton American Legion and Fullerton Fire Company.
He is survived by two daughters, Sandra Moyer Smith and husband Brad and Linda Moyer Edwards and husband Mike; four grandchildren, Benjamin Edwards and wife Megan, Evan Smith and wife Rachel, Matthew Edwards and wife Allison and Mallory Smith Peterson and husband Will; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Nancy; a brother, Thomas and wife Emilie; and nieces, nephews, cousins and their families.
There will be a calling time 1 p.m., followed by a celebration of life 2 p.m., July 5 at Fellowship Community Zentz Center, 3000 Fellowship Drive, Whitehall.
