The library is starting a Minecraft Club for ages 8-18! The next session is set for 11 a.m. June 21.
It’s free, and no prior experience is necessary. Those with their own accounts and portable devices are invited to stop by and join the fun on the shared server.
An expert will be on hand to teach and help troubleshoot, and the library has purchased a few accounts for newcomers to the game. Players might have to take turns if there are more patrons than accounts.
Call or stop by for more information, so we can figure out what we need to supply.

Ben Franklin will visit the library June 25. In our auditorium, this eminent statesman will be discussing his 1755 trip to the Lehigh Valley, just ahead of the French and Indian War. Artistic Director Christopher Black will delight young and old with his portrayal.
There is a small cost to benefit the library. Tickets can be bought ahead of time at the circulation desk or on the day of the performance, but you might want to call first.

The library will be showing “The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run” June 28. Bring the family for popcorn and laughs in our upstairs auditorium.

For the next session of our adult book club, participants are asked to read a book that has been adapted into a movie or television series and bring your choice to a discussion of the pros and cons of books versus movies. If you have strong feelings about literature-to-film adaptations, or just want some recommendations, come by the library 3 p.m. July 2.
The library also has a display of books and their DVD movie counterparts. You can also fill out a three-question survey about your opinions of good books/movies and be entered into a raffle for a small prize to be drawn later this summer.
