Michael Joseph Laczo
Michael Joseph Laczo, 62, of Salisbury Township, died June 4, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Fountain Hill
He was a proud alumni of Salisbury High School, where he formed lifelong friendships and developed a strong work ethic that would serve him well throughout his life. Following his graduation, he embarked on a fulfilling career as an electrician, where he became a respected member of Union IBEW 375. His skilled hands and keen mind were not just his tools of trade but also a means through which he connected with and supported his colleagues.
He was an avid cross-country hiker, finding solace and peace in the embrace of nature. His hikes were not just physical challenges but spiritual journeys that allowed him to reflect on the beauty of life.
He was also a passionate advocate for Alcoholics Anonymous and the recovery community. His own journey to sobriety became a beacon of hope for many and he dedicated countless hours to helping others find their path to recovery.
He also enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He was known for his love of napping, often joking it was his way of recharging his batteries for his next adventure. Books and puzzles, too, were a favorite pastime, as they allowed him to exercise his mind and patience, often leading to moments of shared laughter and joy with his family.
He is survived by children; Tiffany, of New Tripoli, Stephanie, of Lehighton, Brittany, of Allentown, Michael, of Reading; grandchildren, Kira, Kylie, Reily and Reese; sister, Eletta Wiegner. He was predeceased by his mother, Rosemary Reagle.
