Egypt/Cementon: Veterans of Foreign Wars plans trivia, music bingo

Play trivia and music bingo 7 p.m. June 19 and 26 at Egypt Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7293, 5209 Springmill Road.

Scheduled concerts at the VFW include Jimmy Leahy and Greg Hollister June 20, DNA June 21, Scott Marshall and The Highway Souls June 28, Sons of Izzy July 12 and Smith Compound Band July 28.

All of these concerts begin 7:30 p.m. Concerts are free to members, but there is a cost for guests and non-members.

Whitehall Township’s 2025 summer concert series begins 6 p.m. June 21 at Whitehall Parkway, 4689 S. Church St. GirlCrue will perform, followed by The Aardvarks July 12.

Concert admission is free. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

VFW Post 7293 will hold a barbecue 2 p.m. June 22, with music by Third Hand Band beginning 3 p.m. There is a cost for guests and non-members.

True North Vacation Bible School, for children ages 3 through those entering seventh grade in the fall, is planned for 6-8:30 p.m. June 23-27 at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 4331 Main St., Egypt.

Children will take part in hands-on science experiments, team-building games, Bible songs and a mission project that will provide kids in North America with new warm clothes and blankets.

The Cement Belt Fair is planned for 6-10 p.m. June 24-28 at Cementon Park, 5185 Dewey St. Bring your friends and family and enjoy food, beverages, live music and fireworks at this annual event.

Admission is free.

The entertainment lineup includes magician Tom Yurasits and ventriloquist Scott Wagstaff June 24, Fran Mayville June 25, Flirtin’ with the Mob June 26, Them Dirty Birds June 27 and Maddie Pearl and fireworks June 28.

Dance fitness classes continue 6:30 p.m. Tuesday nights at Egypt Memorial Park, 4540 Hillcrest Lane. Bring water and dumbbells, if you have them.

The final country line dancing session at the park is from 6:15 p.m. to 8 p.m. June 25. There is a cost.

Whitehall Lions Club, in cooperation with Miller-Keystone Blood Center will hold a blood drive 9 a.m.-2 p.m. July 2 at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church.

You cannot donate if you take blood thinners. Repeat donors are eligible every 56 days. Local 16-year-olds may donate with a signed parent permission slip.

All donors must present ID that includes first and last name with photo and/or signature. Drink plenty of liquid and eat within two or three hours before donating blood.

Singer/songwriter Mike Sherer will perform 7 p.m. July 3 at VFW Post 7293.

Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 4102 S. Church St., Egypt, will hold its annual parish picnic July 12 and 13 at Egypt Memorial Park. Tickets will be available for purchase after all Masses through July 6.

The July 12 event begin with dinner 5 p.m., followed by bingo, music and games 5:30 p.m. The Castaways Band will perform 7-9 p.m.

A Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. July 13 at the park, followed by a picnic, music and games until 6 p.m. The Josef Kroboth Polka Band will provide entertainment noon-3 p.m., followed by The Large Flowerheads 3:30-6 p.m.
